Catalyst College is a proud unit of the CIMAGE Group of Institutions, which was established in 2009 and inaugurated by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Bihar, Shri Nitish Kumar. The group operates under the Vijayam Educational Trust and is widely recognized for its structured academic model, innovative teaching methodologies, and strong focus on employability and placements.

At present, four colleges operate under the CIMAGE Group of Institutions, each affiliated with recognized state universities in Bihar. CIMAGE S.K. Puri Park, Patna and Catalyst College, Patliputra are affiliated with Patliputra University (PPU), Patna. CIMAGE Professional College, located at Vivekanand Marg, Patna, and CIMAGE Centre of Digital Technology & Entrepreneurship (CCDTE), situated at Prabhat Khabar Mod, Atal Path, Patliputra Industrial Area, are affiliated with Aryabhatta Knowledge University (AKU), Patna.

Academic delivery strictly follows university norms, guidelines, and evaluation systems. The college offers undergraduate programs including Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA), and Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (B.Sc. IT).
