Syed Ata Hasnain, Hon’ble Governor of Bihar, formally inaugurated the e-Yantra Lab established at the campus in collaboration with IIT Bombay. The grand event was organised on the occasion of National Technology Day under the joint aegis of the CIMAGE Group, IIT Bombay’s Spoken Tutorial Project & e-Yantra Lab.
A Distinguished Gathering of Dignitaries
The programme was graced by an eminent gathering of leaders from the fields of academics, technology, and public service:
- Chief Guest: Lt. Gen. (Retd.) Syed Ata Hasnain, Hon’ble Governor of Bihar
- Guests of Honour: Prof. Sharad Kumar Yadav, Vice-Chancellor, Aryabhatta Knowledge University, Patna; and Col. Rahul Sharma, Director, National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT)
- Special Guest: Prof. (Dr.) Ram Kumar

Hon’ble Governor Tours the CIMAGE Campus
Prior to the formal programme, the Hon’ble Governor took a detailed tour of the CIMAGE campus. He visited the technical demonstrations and project exhibits put up by CIMAGE students and personally interacted with them, taking interest in their projects and asking questions to understand their work in detail. He appreciated the hands-on technical orientation visible across the college and the enthusiasm shown by the students.
Governor’s Message to CIMAGE Students
Addressing the students of CIMAGE, the Hon’ble Governor invoked the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s vision of ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’ and underlined that the youth of Bihar are a critical asset for the state’s transformation.
“If we provide this youth power with the right education and technology, they can do wonders.” — Hon’ble Governor of Bihar
He emphasised that if young learners — like those at CIMAGE — are equipped with the most relevant emerging technologies of today, they can become flag-bearers of India’s scientific and entrepreneurial future. He specifically called upon CIMAGE students to build expertise in:
- Artificial Intelligence (AI)
- Robotics
- Embedded Systems
- Cyber Security
- Quantum Computing
- Semiconductor Technology
- Internet of Things (IoT)
- Drone Technology
- Deep-Tech Innovation
The Hon’ble Governor expressed confidence that students trained in these fields will shine in science, technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship, and contribute meaningfully to nation-building. He reminded the students that technology alone is not enough — it must be matched with self-esteem and the aspiration to lead, without which it cannot create real impact.
Inside the New e-Yantra Lab at CIMAGE: Robotics, AI, and Hands-On Learning
Sharing details about the newly inaugurated facility, Prof. (Dr.) Neeraj Agrawal announced that the e-Yantra Lab at CIMAGE, set up in partnership with the Spoken Tutorial Project of IIT Bombay, will offer students cutting-edge technical training through a Project-Based Practical Learning approach.
The lab is equipped with:
- Trackr — an indigenous Quadruped Robo Dog for advanced robotics training
- COBOT (Collaborative Robot) — a robotic arm designed for human-robot interaction
- Open-source programmable robotic platforms that allow students to learn robotics through real coding and experimentation
Through these tools, CIMAGE students will gain hands-on exposure to robotics programming, automation, and applied AI — skills that are increasingly central to the global technology landscape.
Voices from the Programme
Prof. (Dr.) Ram Kumar spoke on the significance of the day and emphasised that for India to become a developed nation, technical proficiency among students is non-negotiable.
Prof. Sharad Kumar Yadav, Vice-Chancellor of Aryabhatta Knowledge University, lauded the achievements of CIMAGE College and its students. He also shared the exciting development of a ‘Space Club’ being established at the university, signalling a growing technology-and-innovation ecosystem in Bihar.
Col. Rahul Sharma, Director, NIFT, encouraged CIMAGE students to embrace innovation as a way of thinking, urging them to question, experiment, and create.
Honouring the Guests
The event was anchored gracefully by Prof. (Dr.) Niraj Poddar, Dean, CIMAGE. The programme was also attended by Mrs. Megha Agrawal, Director, CIMAGE, along with the entire faculty, students, and several other distinguished invitees.
At the conclusion of the programme, all the dignitaries were honoured with mementos as a token of appreciation.
A Proud Day for CIMAGE
For CIMAGE College, the establishment of IIT Bombay’s e-Yantra Lab is more than an infrastructural milestone — it is a commitment to place world-class technical learning within reach of every Bihari student. With the Hon’ble Governor’s blessings and message of inspiration, CIMAGE reaffirms its mission to nurture a generation of technically skilled, innovation-driven, and globally competitive professionals — fully aligned with the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.
